Anita Tonks was born and raised in middle England, and for over sixteen years has called Queensland her home. When she isn’t writing, she can be found out and about with her boisterous Beagle Max, and cuddly Cavoodle Molly, or cooking up a vegetarian storm in the kitchen.
In addition to completing a Diploma of Creative Writing some years ago, Anita began a lifelong study of Druidry with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids based in the south of England. After publishing the odd poem, and a couple of magazine articles, Anita turned an idea for a picture book into a middle grade novel set in rural Gloucestershire.
The book follows four twelve -year old’s as they uncover a long -kept secret, a circle of druids, and a plot to destroy their beloved wood. With the help of a raven called Merlin, and a touch of woodland magic, Billy, Charlie, Aria and Edward begin to unravel ‘The Secrets of Wilson’s Wood’.
