From characterising old potatoes sprouting eyes in dark corners of cupboards to beloved fur baby antics through to historical icons, Abbey has loads of stories to share.

- she won the NSW State Library Award for a Picture Book story about Ethel Turner.
- In 2021:
- Abbey was a recipient of an ASA Award Mentorship Program;
- Abbey’s first short story, Rambling Rodney and the Giant Sea Slug, was published in the CBCA NSW, Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds Anthology.
- In 2022:
- Abbey’s first article appeared in The Woodlander – Friends of Ethel Turner newsletter; and
- Abbey spoke about Ethel Turner at the 2022 Ku-Ring-Gai Heritage Festival held at Woodlands – Ethel’s home where she wrote Seven Little Australians.
