Kerry Gittins is a writer, musician, traveler and teacher librarian from Newcastle, Australia. She has a Masters in Education and is a member of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
Kerry writes picture books and short stories that focus on community, empathy, tolerance, music and the environment. Her stories often include fragments of the people she’s met and places she’s visited during her time travelling the world.
When she’s not writing, Kerry’s favourite things to do are swim in the ocean, listen to 70’s music, and spend time with her husband and two children. She is a huge fan of animation and still manages to drag her adult children along to the latest movies whenever they’re home.
