Nell has a passion for words, and a love of exotic locations. She is a storyteller, teacher and `international woman of mystery.’
She has moved to full-time writing after many years as a teacher-librarian and visual arts teacher. Nell has learned her craft through courses at the University of Sydney and the Australian Writers Centre. Nell works as a casual teacher and recently prepared a primary school library for Book Week celebrations. She also volunteered as parade photographer and cake decorating judge. She loves working with children and connecting them with books and reading.
Her debut novel `NOAH SARK and the Mothership’ was long listed for the 2019 CBCA Aspiring Writers Mentorship Program.
After returning from Europe last year Nell drafted a related picture book, and is currently researching for the second book in the NOAH SARK series.
Nell Cooper lives in a leafy suburb of Sydney with her partner, and an occasional red cat.
