Katrina Germein is a bestselling picture book author, published worldwide. Her stories are about family, fun, and the natural environment. Many of Katrina’s titles, such as Thunderstorm Dancing, have been recognised as CBCA Notable Books and featured on television programs such as Play School. Her book, My Dad Thinks He’s Funny, was highly commended in the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, and in 2019 Katrina received a Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award.

Katrina is an experienced teacher and presenter, regularly delivering author talks and workshops in schools and at festivals. She is a Premiers Reading Challenge Ambassador (SA) and an ambassador for Raising Literacy Australia.

Her most recent titles include the love-filled picture book Before You were Born (HarperCollins) and the latest funny edition to the My Dad series, My Dad Thinks He’s Super Funny (Walker Books). In 2022 Katrina will release her first non-fiction picture book about Australian insects (CSIRO Publishing). Katrina has an energetic dog named Mango and summer is her favourite season.
