So you’ve completed the first draft of your middle grade or young adult manuscript and you crack open the champagne and rip open the chocolate bar.

Congratulations. That is an awesome feat and it needs celebrating.

But what now?

Well, sorry to break it to you, but this is where the real work begins, in The Second Draft. Whether you are a pantser or a plotter, this is the time to cast an analytical eye over your manuscript, to roll up your sleeves and shape and mould and fine-tune it into the special story you know it can be.

This workshop, with author and editor Sue Whiting, will explore the questions you need to ask and the techniques you can employ in order to get the most out of your idea and create a compelling, focused, character-driven manuscript.
